- The science, in plain English. What bleach is actually doing, why it can’t tell pigment from hair, which peroxide to reach for, and what bleach breaks and how I use K18 to protect it. So you stop guessing at the bowl.
- While you’re applying. Why it lifts unevenly round the head, and what every band on the strand is telling you. So you stop it before it starts.
- When it’s going wrong. A page to work down halfway through, and a raw lift chart so you read the level properly before you pick a toner.
- Your own formulas. Build It, Don’t Borrow It. Fill it in for every client and you end up with formulas that are yours, not someone else’s.
- The words. The message to send three days before, what to say at the mirror before she pays, and the plain words I use next to the proper names. Copy, paste, done.

17 years behind the chair. Scalp bleach and blonding is all I do now. But it wasn’t always like that.

I taught myself this the hard way. Nobody around me did it, nobody taught it properly, and I made every mistake going, including once burning a client’s hair clean off. That’s what forced me to actually understand it, instead of following steps and hoping.
